Next FREE Teleclass: 2 pm CDT (-5 GMT) Wednesday, May 6, 2009

FarmerPhoebe's Organic Gardening Speaker Series are free* weekly teleclasses with a theme. This week is no exception.

Roy Stahl was raised on a small farm in South Dakota, in the days when “sustainable gardening” was a matter of survival, not choice. He’s been gardening on and off since childhood. After discovering his love for computers in high school he founded his own software company. In 2005, he merged his interest in computers and gardening by creating Plangarden, the first Web-based vegetable garden design, planning, and management software.

Roy's passion to develop cutting-edge Web applications matches his daring attitude in the vegetable garden, where he experiments with veggies and organic techniques. He has been featured on NPR’s Growing Concerns with Cecilia Nasti and was recently mentioned on the Washington Post’s Web site for Plangarden's interactive version of the Obama’s White House vegetable garden. Roy invites you to join him on Twitter at twitter.com/plangarden, where he is constantly tweeting about vegetable gardening.
